The B2B marketplace smatch was founded in Hamburg in 2022. Together our team brings 50+ years of experience in the fashion retail industry.

Your contacts at smatch

Max is the founder and Managing Director at smatch with a focus on the supply partners. Before smatch, Max lead the Revenue & Growth as well as Strategy & Business Development team of AboutYou. During this time he was responsible for the planning and steering of 26 European markets, managed AboutYou's IPO and various venturing topics such as a circularity platform and second love marketplace. Prior to this Max consulted Retail Enterprises as a Project Leader at McKinsey.

As founder and managing director at smatch, Hans-Martin spends most of his time supporting the demand partners of the marketplace. Driving sustainable growth has always been a cornerstone of Hans-Martin work. Back in 2009, he joined Zalando and later scaled Germany's leading telehealth marketplace till exit. At McKinsey, Hans-Martin globally supported Enterprises on their Operational Excellence and Product Growth.

For this, she builds up on her broad and deep experience as former Director for Checkout, Payment & Order Processing of the European Retailer AboutYou. Responsible for Interface Design, APIs with over 100 Endpoints, ERP, Authentication and much more, she's a thoughtleader at the interace of technology, fashion and payments.

Her global network is sourced from business in Europe, Middle East, India as well as New Zealand.
